Is JamminR still here?
« on: October 27, 2006, 08:49:31 pm »
I just wanted to let you both know I'm still around, and I still care about this project.
I still check the boards daily, but just haven't seen the user help requests that I normally help with as often here it seems.

My new job, which I love dearly, is keeping me extremely busy. What 'free' time I once had at work, though it wasn't supposed to be 'free' to me, is now permanently filled with tasks, small and large. Though I do sometimes miss the downtime, God knows I was complacent and bored, and has blessed me with this new role. My title is 'site support technician' for a local division of a large company.
This local division has close to 800 workstations to maintain. Almost twice as many users. (Many telecommute, or work in other locations)
As with many corporate IT titles, it doesn't begin to explain all the tasks I have. I'm part site support (local pc support), domain admin, windows admin, phone admin, and when boss asks, general IT gopher.
It's the busiest job I've ever loved.

When I get home, the last thing I think about is coding. For this, I apologize to you guys for not helping out.
I will be, and hope to remain, your PR and idea man.

I'm going to try to go to bed soon. I'll probably fail. I have to get up at 4am Sunday morning to help with production server patches. Though thats not for another 28 hours, I don't wany my body thinking it can stay up all night tomorrow.

Don't sweat it JamminR! We appreciate all you can and have done for us, but don't stress yourself. (Though we do need to get the ball rolling on the Khet stuff soon!)
