Anyways.. this thread serves 2 purposes..
1. Letting you guys know that I removed 3 posts by the same user today. At first they seemed innocent enough, but after doing a little Sherlock Holmes I noticed that not only did this guy have unreasonably bad grammar (which was my first sign) but he registered 3 days ago and all 3 of his posts were over the course of 10 minutes. The posts basically reiterated what the person above him said (which was annoying) and then I noticed that his signature block was a link to some website that sold bags or something. So basically, it looked like a spammer that was just smart about spamming. If not... whatever, his posts added absolutely zero intellectual value to the threads so there really is no loss.
2. I don't know if this is by design or by sheer overlooking, but global moderator has no moderation ability at all. (erm.. I just found that I can in fact lock and move topics... silly me..) but there is no account moderation ability. In the event I find or see a spam account there isn't really much I can do except remove the posts. Which is fine by me, it would just be nice to be able to see IP addresses and such so that I can spot duplicate accounts or common IP ranges of spam accounts. Not necessarily necessary as you guys are usually more than on top of it.
Anyways... Few more weeks and I'll be back. I'm excited to get back into the swing of things. I miss all of it.
