Though I chuckled at his colorful use of variables names, I'm actually more concerned with this particular bit.
"local lol_creative_commons_on_code = {}"

Karma is a pain. God forbid he ever become a programmer of an actual good open project using Creative Commons (any flavor) or GPL (any flavor), and a commercial entity actually rip his code off and make millions leaving him nothing. GLua projects aside, it's just ethical to do the right thing.

His code is GPL licensed. I was toying with the idea of taking his rocket code (and following the license, of course). We don't really need any more "fun" commands though, and it seems like I'd just be inciting war.

Don't argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience!

BTW, a rocket addon already exists in Releases. Don't remember who wrote it (yes, I could look), nor do I have any idea if they took code not belonging to them.
I do remember it being a fun release, and plan on converting it for next release, once we've released. I think an SVN version was already made for it, but I've not looked to see if any Gmod updates (or our own updates since the SVN conversion) have broken it.

Rocket worked last time I tried it. And JamminR, Megiddo just told me (almost) the same quote:

There's a saying about fighting with morons...
(18:13:34) Megiddo: something along the lines of "Never fight with a moron, they'll always just drag you down to their level and beat you"

Even though, here's what I want to put in his thread!!:

---

http://code.google.com/p/exsto/source/diff?spec=svn85&r=83&format=side&path=/trunk/lua/exsto/plugins/sv_goto.lua&old_path=/trunk/lua/exsto/plugins/sv_goto.lua&old=81

We gave you two options: either give proper credit, as per how our code is licenced, or write your own code. Since you seem to be completely against SAYING that you used ULX code (even though you DID), you refused, so we told you to recode it. And changing variable names doesn't count as a recode.

Also, at your "lol_creative_commons_on_code" variable name, you DO realize that we could sue you for this? We're not going to, because ULX is just a small project, but allowing yourself to steal code under any license is just unethical, and could get you in serious trouble later.

---

What do you think, JamminR? Good idea? Bad idea? Needs rewordings?

Stickly, to be quite honest, I really don't think posting anything would help our point.
It makes you feel better, sure, but, again, look at all the posts I've made in that thread. Find the last 1-2 pages before and after my last post.
Several there agreed ULX was better, but thought I was obsessing.
Just like we have fans, so does he. And, as I've learned from experience, and, internet articles [slashdot], pointing out facts makes some of them burrow in even further.
Too many have a closed mind. Those that keep theirs open gain knowledge.

He's aggravating, and ULib still rules.

That's okay! Nobody will be using Exsto anymore once XGUI/New ULX/ULIB comes out! :D
