I know, but that's just it.. I like a tiny bit of text. One or two lines of various quotes...they're easy to look past, even when the person has posted several times.
Its the gosh awful images/banners/avatars that I find annoying.
With the following, I'm NOT trying to be mean...just bring up a perfect example.
Megiddo's anime tracker.
Yeah, it's cool. But if I set my posts per page to 25, and he's responded to, say, 10 posts, I have to see the SAME DATA 10 times.
It won't be different from one post to the next. It might be different 3 weeks from now, but, its the same data 10 times within one page.
That's the way most of those annoying banners work. I've seen other forums where every single user posting had a large banner.
Needless to say, I only use those forums when Google has brought them to me and they involve answers to a search I've used in google.
