Seems like very few people understand the difference, and it's not too much trouble to figure out what people are using anyways...

Sure. Why not.
Heck, people can't understand the different between OffTopic, ULX/ULib support ONLY, Developer and Releases sections half the time it seems.

I agree with Jam on this one too. I think people in the GMod community are accustomed to using SVN as that is what many of the major addons use anyway. I'd say 90% of our user base uses SVN so merging the two topics wouldn't be a bad idea.

Also.. it would seem that half the time the answer to anyone's problem with the release is to use the SVN. ;)
