Health update..

Hey everyone,

I know I chatted briefly with JamminR about this and I think he brough Megiddo into the loop a little bit, but I just wanted to bring you guys up to date with something that is a little personal.

Any support would be very much appreciate. I'm not asking for anything, just simply a prayer or something if that is what you believe in. I'm not looking for pity either.

I was recently diagnosed with Type 1 Chiari Malformation and a pretty advanced stage of Syringomyelia.

It's pretty bad from what I've gathered and been told by the surgeon.

I will be going in to have corrective surgery likely some time next month. It's a pretty invasive procedure and the recovery can be pretty long depending on the patient.

All of that being said... I will most likely be out of commission for a while in the near future.

Will keep you in prayer, Mr. P! We certainly hope that the surgery goes well and will be as effective as possible.

Thanks Stickly. I guess if Garry or you guys break anything, then it might be nice to have someone pick up for me while I'm away. I honestly have no idea how long I'll be decommissioned for.

I go in on the 15th for my Pre-Op. They'll let me know then what time on the 19th I need to be in.

I think I have all my bases covered. Just pray that everything goes well. It is brain surgery, and I try not to thing (at all) about the possible complications, but the chances are still there.

Surely MrPres is now in his own room, perhaps an ICU, but still, past surgery and well on way to recovery.

Surgery went well. 2 nights in ICU. I'm still in the hospital though just recently feeling up to using my phone. The light generally gives me headaches. I'll keep you guys updated in this thread.

Now...would God be upset I pray for you to have cute young single nurses, especially when sponge bath time draws near?

At least I know he has a sense of humor as he scowls at me.

A few of the nurses are pretty cute. But as this is an Army hospital and they are all lieutenants... It just would never work out, especially my girlfriend wouldnt be too awefully happy about it either.

Yeah, I was released last Thursday. Staples removed a few days ago, now I'm just laying around 'recovering' until the 4th of April or so.
